Emergency Power Plan & Fuel Storage Project

RAM GeoServices, Inc. provided pre-design geotechnical engineering services in support of the Emergency Power Plan–Fuel Storage project at Cavalier Space Force Station in North Dakota. This mission-critical project required precise geotechnical planning to ensure long-term reliability for future power infrastructure.

RAM initiated the effort by designing and executing a targeted geotechnical exploration program, which included a combination of borings and monitoring wells. During fieldwork, subsurface soil and groundwater samples were carefully observed, documented, and collected for detailed laboratory testing.

Upon completion of the exploration and analysis phases, RAM delivered a comprehensive geotechnical design report to inform future stages of the project. The report included a detailed discussion of site soils and groundwater conditions, incorporating data from previous geotechnical studies, geologic mapping, and RAM’s own engineering analysis.

The report also included a recommended design soil profile and technical guidance for key project components, such as Temporary Groundwater Control and the integration of Mechanically Stabilized Earth (MSE) Walls. These recommendations were developed to ensure construction readiness, performance reliability, and compliance with applicable standards.

RAM GeoServices remains actively engaged and looks forward to continuing our support through future design phases of this important federal initiative.
