Seattle Waterfront, Seattle, WA – Grading and Shoring Engineer of Record (EOR)

Since the project’s inception, RAM GeoServices has been deeply involved in the Seattle Waterfront’s Overlook Walk, a transformative initiative aimed at reconnecting the city to its waterfront. In Phase 1, we provided construction monitoring services, focusing on grading steep slopes adjacent to active rail lines, ensuring both safety and project integrity. During Phase 2, under Mr. Rohrbach’s guidance, we engineered a temporary ramp and mechanically stabilized earth (MSE) wall for Granite Construction Company. This infrastructure facilitated access to a stable platform, enabling the drilling and pouring of pier shafts for the future Overlook Walk Bridge. In Phase 3, collaborating with Hoffman Construction Company, we delivered comprehensive geotechnical reports, slope stability analyses, and designs for foundations, shoring, and falsework to support elevated structures. Our ongoing commitment includes forthcoming recommendations for finishes atop the completed bridge. The Overlook Walk, completed in 2024, now serves as a vital pedestrian connection between Pike Place Market and the waterfront, featuring expansive views and enhancing urban accessibility.
